RCPAR offers significant opportunities to engage in the formulation and implementation of Multi-Country Activities funded by the Project. A Multi-Country Activity is an initiative developed by a minimum of three countries in response to their specific needs aligned with one of the Project’s thematic areas. For an overview of the various multi-country activity proposals developed by network members to date, click on the thematic categories below.
A proposal for a Multi-Country Activity originates from members of the Network of National Coordinators and Focal Points in participating countries and should emphasise innovation and dissemination of best practices in the public sector reform.. MCAs modalities supported by the Project can include study tours, staff exchanges, peer reviews, targeted research, thematic workshops and ad hoc technical assistance. The Project strongly encourages initiatives in which some participating countries are used as sources of expertise and good practice for others.
The Multi-Country Activitiess are supported on a competitive basis according to the quality criteria. The estimated average funding per activity is USD 30,000 and the upper financial ceiling per activity is USD 100,000. In the event that an activity is co-financed by other partners, or is evaluated to present significant partnership opportunities, the upper ceiling may be increased by up to 50%. The role of RCPAR is to provide enabling environment, facilitation and financial support for such participatory programming. UNDP Country Offices in countries involved are expected to support the design and implementation of activities.
